"Going for a third one really soon in the state with the second most counties...."
I did two of their half marathons and it was televised of course. The last one my Mutha, lil Sister and my oldest Niece helped me with the drinks even though they have their own gatorade and water right? i had my own special elixir mixed with Ashwaganda and Moringa and Goji Berry juice. See they pick the toughest trails and have proper emergency personnel on standby. I usually see alot of military former or current attend and an influx of walkers usually women. To be honest it be alot of women running and walking in these half marathons and i definitely take advantage of it too. Competing against a woman in a noncontact sport is a test of what you got inside that counts. And whoever crosses the finish first get to tell you who is better in a friendly manner. Actually it is better for me to run alongside a female cause you bounce energies off each other or sharing a stride of oneness. Do of course ask to run alongside her (before starting or during the course)and ask their usual time for completing a half marathon and you may even get a partner to train with next time and network (alot of business people in different areas of this conglomerate called the US love to run in half and full marathons) I love networking. Register and check out a next half marathon near you. You get pictures of your finishline too and a medal but im not into it for that just being better than my last times and im going to keep at until physically i cannot no more. I did mine in NC and SC and targeting GA next. Its that adrenaline rush! I started half and quarter marathons unofficially in VA and DC (2002-2004) running running and even biking too on them paths to and from the capital for fun and just an excuse to be be among nature sometimes (and away from humans sometimes to sense who and what i really been missing everytime in solitude) I remember my superiors use to wave at me from their vehicles and some would drive up slow asking "you alright? you know you are 6 miles from the parking lot and its 80 degrees plus increasing.. " i just smile and reply "im fine. See you at formation tomorrow morning. Peace"...i use to see people walking and biking and running all the time around those parts and even in the park near the Potomac River where them boulders and the ferry be. You see walkers runners joggers and lovers...and painters to include tourists. Anyway, Xterra is pretty good at picking trails i did the one in Columbia, SC and Charlotte, NC. Im definitely going for one in GA. I definitely spread the news and people be like i never heard this site before then the women especially hurry up and check it out and be like thank you! Cause you know they like to stay in shape for the most and some of them be going through some stuff so what better way to walk jog and run it off right? LEADERSHIP. My positive thoughts exactly. Peace in and stay fit.
